Further details...

Further details emerge by the hour!! Apparently I am to go to the first of Kings College, London Bridge, Blackheath or Chelsfield Park that can take me, to have a lumbar decompression and an op to remove a disc.

The Brain of Bidborough Quiz has also come my way, and I have put together some 9 or 10 rounds of difficult - but not too difficult - questions for the Quiz on the 6 March. Quite like old times - I used to do about 3 quizzes a year for various organisations before we went to Cayman in 1995, and we carried on doing it for the expat community there, too. Local organisations are invited to send teams of 6 but there have to be applications with cheques for £48 sent to Joyce Waller at 40 Woodland Way, Bidborough, TN4 0UY which will buy them a table and a ploughmans, with the odd nibble thrown in.

Progress...

The next steps have been organised. Visit to the veins man 0815 hours (!!) on Monday who apparently thinks I just need monitoring. In the meantime the back man is finding a hospital where I can be seen to asap. It all should happen on Monday or Tuesday, but given the holiday period, I am not holding my breath. Watch this space.

Meanwhile I am making alternative arrangements in relation to my diary as I suspect that in January and possibly February it will be difficult for me to get about.

The Beginning

We start with Clive's MRI scan which indicates that a back operation is needed, and also the existence of an aortic aneurysm. Consultants have been appointed, and the back man says that he does not want to operate until the vasologist has seen me. Clive sees the vasologist on the 4 January.
